Shanghai Gesture

Students of the Textile department (TxT) designed woven fabrics for wintercoats. The samples are made on handlooms in the weaving workshop and the final fabrics are made in the TextileLab in Tilburg. The theme is the relationship between the Netherlands and China in the golden century and since. During a one week workshop in collaboration with Alexander van Slobbe, eight fashion designers made wintercoats out of them.

The collection will be on show from july 8th till november 13th 2011 in museum Willet-Holthuysen, Herengracht 605.
